Why take a family wildlife holiday

Experience – following the ethos ‘education by experience’, we have used decades of adventure travel knowledge to create innovative holidays to stimulate ALL ages (minimum age varies, starting from 5 years).

Itineraries – designed to avoid unnecessary lengthy travelling. We include as much as possible but try to spend at least two nights in each location to allow you to get the most out of the countries at a relaxed pace.

Accommodation – chosen for authenticity as well as location. From en suite thatched stilted huts on the beach to open bush camping where the experience far outweighs the basic facilities.

Tour Leaders – carefully selected to engage and stimulate young people (rather than act as babysitters!). We only use local leaders because they have in-depth local knowledge about wildlife and culture.

Borneo

With its dense rainforests, tropical beaches and mysterious jungle valleys, Borneo is the perfect place to spot exotic wildlife. On our adventure holidays here we visit the famous Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre at Sepilok, which teaches survival skills to orphaned apes so they can be re-introduced into the wild. We also cruise down the Kinabatangan River in search of proboscis monkeys, macaques, hornbills, otters and elephants, to name just a few! .

In Nepal we can even ride an elephant looking for rhino in Chitwan National Park.

Sri Lanka has something for everyone and never fails to enchant visitors. There are ruined cities and rock-top forts to explore, strangely colourful birds, encounters with elephants and other wildlife and some of the world’s best beaches. Visits to Minneriya and Uda Walawe national parks offer a real safari experience; kids will love the thrill of coming across a herd of wild elephants; it’s nothing like a zoo or safari park! .
