Park Fees, Permits and Local Payments
With many companies, park fees, permits and local flights are extra. On an Imaginative Traveller wildlife holiday all these are included and clearly listed in a breakdown of price so you can see exactly how much a trip is going to cost. An exception is the $110 Galapagos National Park Tax and Transit Card which is payable on arrival in US$ cash directly to the park authorities.
Tour Leaders
An experienced English-speaking guide accompanies every Imaginative Traveller wildlife holiday - chosen not only for their local knowledge, but perhaps more importantly, for their "people skills". Local guides join us in certain national parks as they are wildlife specialists in their particular fields or areas.

Fitness
A certain degree of fitness is required for our adventure holidays and some wildlife experiences will be more physical than others though nothing technical will be involved. Please read the detailed trip notes for each tour to gauge the fitness required.
Activities on a wildlife holiday
The list is endless – you could be swinging high in Costa Rica on the Monteverde cloud forest canopy walkway, snorkelling with sea lions in the Galapagos, riding elephants in Thailand and Nepal, tackling a challenging climb in Madagascar’s Grands Tsingy to spot the 11 species of lemur living in the park, canoeing through the Amazon jungle in Peru and Ecuador and trekking through Rwanda’s Parc National des Volcans in search of the mountain gorillas.
