East Africa Safari - Packing

I'm going on the East Africa Safari tour on June 13, 2009 and was wondering about what I should pack...mainly based on the weather. I'm not sure how hot / cold it will be - particularly at night which will dictate the type of sleeping bag I purchase / clothes I bring. Also I vaguely recall reading something about not bring suitcases with frames / wheels etc. Can you please give me some idea of the guidelines for a suitable "bag". Any other suggestions about what to take would be appreciated. Thankyou.

departure guarantee

It seems this is the only travel company I have found that does not guarantee departure when you book. It seems ashame because I can not imagine that you dont loose some customers because of this. That is usually what a deposit is for. I myself am hesitant. I probably would go w/ a diff. company because of this, although I have not found an itinerary I like better. I do not want to make all the preparations to end up not going. Especially only 2 months prior. Why don't they atleast decide sooner? Have they ever considered changing this? Just like I am postponing booking- im sure others are doing the same- so there could be several people that want to go- but dont book because they see that nobody else has. Just some feedback to consider.

Safari & Maasai Experience

Is anyone going on this trip?

Tanzania

I am planning on going to Tanzania and Ethiopia in 2010 and need to decide when. Currently I am thinking of either April or Sept/October. I understand that Sept is great for Ethiopia but I really want to maximise opportunities to see wildlife in Tanzania and am wondering if April would be better than October? Your advice would be appreciated!

safari tours

Has anyone booked a tour and had it not depart because there weren''t enough people? THanks.
