Hi Guys,

I'm wondering if the Melodie is still being used for the Nile cruises? I saw one trip that said it used a GECKO vessel...

Melodie

Hi Lauren,

At the moment the Melodie is not used, which is the norm during this time of year. Every year between June and September, the Melodie is withdrawn from service so it can be refurbished. After September the Melodie will be back in use. However, we are currently evaluating our tours and it is undecided at present whether the Melodie will remain in use in 2012. This will be a lot clearer once the new brochure is released.

Melodie v Amy

Having travelled on the Melodie a ship that we all truly enjoyed because of the size -- only two groups of IMTRAV travellers, it was fun, we got to know the crew and the other passengers (unless they were sick and cabin bound).

Can't express anything about AMY as she appears to be the new ship on the Nile!
