Can you advise on what happens to your main luggage for the Annapurna and Chitwan trip.

I understand that a separate kitbag will be supplied (65kg) for the trekking part of the trip which in theory could include my large rucksack I am planning to bring .

What happens to your main luggage? Does this remain in Kathmandu for the whole trip until we return (ie after trek, white water radfting, Chitwan)

Thanks

Hello There,

All passengers on a trek in Nepal are loaned a ‘kit bag’ which is basically a duffel bag that can fit quite a lot of equipment. We ask passengers to limit the items they take on trek to 15kgs, otherwise the porters get overloaded. For those continuing to India, for example on Mountains & Plains (GIMP), they can leave their luggage in Chitwan. Those on treks like Annapurna Sanctuary (GIAS) and Everest Base Camp (GIEB ), luggage can be left in Kathmandu.

Passengers only need a day pack for a rain jacket, water, camera etc while trekking. Suitcases are not the best form of luggage to take on these trips.

Many Thanks
