What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Two things stand out. Angkor Wat is one of those few places in the world that exceeds your expectations - it is truly awesome. At the other extreme, our bike ride through the countryside around Hoi An allowed us to see lush and immaculately cultivated market gardens and gave us a glimpse of rural life today.
What did you think of your tour leader?
Both of our tour leaders were excellent - Vantha in Cambodia and Phoung in Vietnam. They were both tireless, always cheerful, well informed, anxious that everyone had a good time, and brilliantly well organised. Great assets.
What advice would you give to other travellers?
There's a lot packed into this holiday - it's an assault on the senses in everyway. You need to enjoy crowded hot cities for their life and vitality. You need to enjoy ruins and be interested in ancient civilisations, And you need to be prepared to contemplate man's inhumanity to man in the Killing Fields of Cambodia and in the photographs of the victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam.
